Physical Fitness For Kids

Here at Total Fitness we know how important physical fitness for kids is. We can't turn on the TV or open up a newspaper without hearing how our children are going to suffer as time goes on due to poor diet and lack of exercise.

If you are a concerned parent and are interested in physical fitness for kids then you've come to the right place as here at Total Fitness we have lots of different activities to help with the physical fitness for kids.

Kids Gym

What better way to improve physical fitness for kids than getting them into the gym and working out on their own set of kids gym equipment. In the Total Fitness kids gyms we have a selection of gym equipment specifically designed for children. The machines look the same as adult machines, they're just smaller and they all work in the same way.

Future Fitness Classes

If you know your child won't like the gym then why not get them involved in our Future Fitness Classes. We think the future fitness classes we offer here at Total Fitness are a great way to improve physical fitness for kids.

Kids Swimming Lessons

Swimming lessons are a great way to increase physical fitness for kids. If you're child can't swim they you can sign them up for swimming lessons. If they can already swim there are still a number water based activities they can take part in which will help improve their physical fitness.

On the days were you can't get to the gym there is still a lot of things you can do to with regards to physical fitness for kids including: -

  • If possible walk you're children to school instead of driving. Obviously this isn't always possible and depending on the weather it can be difficult but the walk to school and back it just one way of increasing physical fitness for kids.
  • If you have a dog get the kids to go with you when you walk them. Most adults leave the children at home when they take the dog for a walk as it is easier but a short walk in the fresh air could be really good.
  • If you aren't working at the weekend make sure you get the children out the house as sitting indoors all day on a computer or infront of the television is not good for the physical fitness for kids.
